Thomas Weedmark is the President of XRF Solutions. Tom works with clients to develop innovative new approaches to solve geologic problems using X-Ray Fluorescence. Tom obtained his B.Sc. Geology at the University of Calgary in 2007 and completed his M.Sc. Geology at the University of Calgary in 2014. While working on his thesis in 2012 Tom and Dr. Ron Spencer founded XRF Solutions Ltd, seeing the potential to further investigate the applications of X-Ray Fluorescence in the oil and gas sector.
Justin Besplug|BSc.|P.Geo
Geologist
Justin is the Operations Manager at XRF Solutions. He plays a key role in developing models for deriving mineralogy and reservoir properties from elemental data. He joined us from the University of Calgary in 2014 where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Geology, with a minor in Geophysics. Justin’s undergraduate thesis was on the geochemistry of the Second White Speckled shale and he worked at Alberta Innovates Technology Futures with X-Ray Fluorescence.
Certifications and Associations
XRF Solutions is a permit holder of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA), and is authorized to engage in the practice of geoscience in the province of Alberta.
Team Members are certified to NRCan NDTCB XRF Operator Program based on Health Canada Safety Code 32 and ISO 20807.
